A big day on The Morning Show today as Boomer and Craig broadcast live from the Borgata in Atlantic City. The last time I was at the Borgata the girl I was meeting ended up making out with my best friend in a revolving door as I blacked out at the craps table. Luckily, it went much better for Boomer, Craig, and the rest of The Morning Show team today in the city of gambling, fancy drinks, cocktail waitresses, and all the bad decisions they bring. Craig celebrated the Yankees big win in Game 2 of the World Series, Al Dukes had some romantic encounters over the phone, Joe Girardi gets some much deserved praise, the Jets flight girls didn’t get any praise, Boomer and Craig previewed the big weekend for the Giants and Jets, Jerry Recco updated us on some parenting advice from Pedro Martinez, Boomer told everyone how Craig almost got him in trouble with the law, Al Dukes fulfilled a childhood dream and performs in Atlantic City, and of course some Football Friday Picks. Yes, what happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Atlantic City on Boomer and Carton in the Morning we broadcast to everyone…
We’ve all been there; you walk into Casino feeling like you can’t lose. Before you know it your down and a little part of you starts to panic. But you sit tight, keep your head in the game; you get a little luck, win a few hands, and before you know it you’re back even. This is what has happened to the Yankees so far in the World Series. They came in flying high, but a Game 1 loss raised some concerns. However, the Yankee luck turned around for Game 2, and as Craig points out, while Boomer overslept, it was a big win indeed…
Believe it or not, if you don’t like gambling you can still enjoy Atlantic City, especially if you’re at the Borgata. Nice bars, awesome clubs, and great shows make it fun even if you’re a little frugal. That is, as long as you’re not Al Dukes. Al didn’t seem very interested in enjoying Borgata, no he had other things on his mind…
Now betting your kids college savings on Red 27 may require a certain amount of guts, but not as much as starting Jerry Hairston in a key Game 2 of the World Series. Say what you want about Joe Girardi, but the Yankees manager did a terrific job in Game 2, and Craig and Boomer want to give him credit…
Not so impressive are the Jets Flight Crew girls. Now, I’m not in a position to judge. But all I’m saying is not a single Flight Crew girl was featured in the NFL babe calendar. Craig has a theory as to why. Let’s just say the girls might be a little thick…
Cheerleaders aside, it’s a very big weekend for the Giants and Jets. Craig explains why, and Jerry Recco does an update where we learn about some parenting advice from Pedro Martinez…
So you know it’s a big weekend for the Giants and Jets. (You also now know how to be a better parent thanks to the devil, I mean Pedro.) Of course nobody breaks down the X’s and O’s of the NFL like Boomer and Craig, so they give you all you need to know about the matchups right here…
When you listen to how well they break that down you realize how much chemistry these two guys have. Chemistry formed from countless hours spent together. The only problem is Craig can’t seem to keep from getting Boomer into trouble when they hang out. And it happened again when the boys got pulled over by the NYPD on Thursday…
Boomer and Craig got lucky with the NYPD, no doubt about it. Some have said it’s better to be lucky than good. However, when it comes to picking games on a Football Friday, Craig and Boomer are just plain good. Here are this weeks picks…
I recall one particular black jack game I played in Atlantic City where the man sitting next to decided to grace me with his life story. I’ll spare you the majority of it, but the bottom line is he had been in the casino for over 12 hours and had lost several thousand dollars. However, he assured me he was, “just about to win it all back.” Dreams are made and destroyed in a casino, but luckily for Al Dukes the Borgata likes to make dreams come true. That’s why today Al got to fulfill his dream of performing in Atlantic City. Al performed a song he recently wrote about the stupidity of Philly fans…
As always we conclude this madness with the Moment of the Day. Different strokes for different folks defines this one. Let’s just say one man’s turn on over the phone may not work for everyone else…
Well that wraps it all up. Big weekend in NY sports as the World Series heads to Philadelphia, and the Jets and Giants play big games with implications for the rest of their seasons. Tune in Monday where Boomer and Craig will cover it all. Heck, tune in every weekday, from 6-10AM, for Boomer and Carton in the Morning, on the FAN!
